When is this event?
The Grantown-on-Spey Triathlon is held in the picturesque capital of Strathspey set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The annual event attracts competitors with all levels of experience, but is mainly targeted at novices of all ages competing as individuals or in teams.
Swim
300 metres (15 lengths of a 20 metre pool)
Cycle
16 kilometres (10 miles) circuit round the Grantown Braes through some spectacular Highland scenery
Run
4.8 kilometres (3 miles) through the Anagach Woods
Every Christmas Eve, Santa and his Reindeer come to Newtonmore before they set off on their Round the World journey to deliver presents – why not join us to see him off on his journey! He usually arrives about 20.15 opposite the Glen Hotel and, accompanied by pipers, makes his way to the Highlander Hotel, where they provide some seasonal refreshments before he continues on his way.

Challenge your mind in the Bamboozeleum and Wonderwood: Mind-bending fun for curious minds.
St Andrew’s, Aviemore and Alvie and Insh churches invite you to follow the glowing trail as it guides you through Alltnacriche’s grounds, with live action scenes to take you back in time to Jesus’ birth. Join the jostling at the Inn! Come across the wise men reflecting at their evening’s camp site! Discover the shepherds settling down for the night, BEFORE their big fright! And come to the very simple stable.
Hot drinks and mince pies served at the end of the trail.
Free entry, but donations welcome.

Come along and enjoy a fun one hour class where kids will use existing pre cut stencils or cut their own (with help of accompanying adult) and screen print a wooden Christmas bauble.
This is a fun way for kids to try screen printing and take home a ‘me made’ product that you can keep for years to come that will add a personal touch to your Christmas decorations.
10am registration, run starts at 10.30am.
Join us for a family friendly 2km trail run around the beautiful Abernethy forest!
Entry is £5 per person or £15 per family
Please note that children aged 12 and under should be accompanied by an adult.
All profits will go to Abernethy Primary School Parent Council.
