Start your child’s hobby of a lifetime this summer

As a parent do you delight in or dread this time of year? 

The school holidays are now upon us and it’s only a matter of time until the inevitable “I’m Bored” rings in your ears.  Maybe now is a good time for some parental inspiration…

Did you know that there are hundreds of activities available for kids in The Cairngorms National Park, we have two dedicated water parks, 12 golf courses, over 65 kilometres of cycle paths and that is just for starters!

For the adventurous…. zip wires, climbing walls, high ropes, ariel adventure courses, the list goes on… For water babies… choose from sailing, windsurfing, white water rafting, canyoning, gorge walking, river tubing, canoeing (all subject to age and size)

Just look at the big names we have in the area; The Landmark Adventure Centre near Carrbridge, Cairngorm Mountain near Aviemore, Highland Wildlife Park near Kincraig and our very own Strathspey Steam Railway between Broomhill and Nethy Bridge.

Maybe you could take a trip across to the East of the park for Ballater’s Victoria Week or The Braemar Games or head south and spend a day at Blair Castle in Blair Atholl.  In Aviemore there is plenty to entertain children of all ages with both indoor and outdoor experiences.
