Winter at Active Outdoor Pursuits

Ski, Board, climb & touring – Snowsports Lessons & Holidays in Scotland. Actives Outdoor Pursuit’s winter programme is a comprehensive range of Snow and Mountainsports training courses and holidays based in the Cairngorms National Park, the heart of Snowsports in Scotland.

Our ski, snowboard, winter hillwalking and mountaineering courses in Aviemore provide training and guiding for beginners through to experienced winter enthusiasts.

We run lessons throughout the entire season and will take you to wherever the snow and conditions are best for your/the group’s learning. If you are already a competent skier and are looking to try something different this season, then take a look at our Ski touring courses below.

We can run these as introductory days or courses lasting numerous days with options of overnight expeditions up in the hills should the conditions allow. If you are interested in a truly unique Scottish snowsports experience, experience, then we are one of the few companies around who offer snowholing expeditions.

All of our four day ski touring and four day winter skills courses include snowholing expeditions weather and conditions permitting.

Free of charge Door 2 Door delivery service included if you prefer not to pick them up yourself! We are perfectly located to access Aviemore, Cairngorm Mountain, the Lecht 2090 and the Nevis Range for your skiing and snowboarding. From Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre in Newtonmore and our satellite Centres in Ayrshire and The Great Glen, we provide a wide range of adventure activities, training courses and holidays within the Cairngorms National Park and throughout the Highlands of Scotland.

Each year we take in students to our Instructor Training courses then offer as many as possible the chance to complete our Instructor Development programme (Apprenticeship).

Today, every instructor and manager began their career on an Active Instructor Training course as a client. .
