Neighbourhood description We really are in a stunning area and to appreciate the surroundings we recommend, you get out and about with Ben Newe, The Doune of Invernochty, Corgarf Castel, The 300 year old Poldullie bridge, you can see where The river Nochty meets The river Don, Corgarf view point, The Well of the Lecht, The famous Lost Sign, kildrummy Castle, all this is right on our doorstep may it be a short walk or a short drive. You just need to embrace Strathdon for its rich history and beauty and enjoy our surroundings when you visit us. Remember, we are rural, so if you're looking for hustle & bustle, we are not the place for you, but if you want peace, history, nature and to embrace the outdoors with a romantic base to chill then Sweet Donside is for you. We have a cracking local shop and Post Office that is very well stocked, opening hours are 8am - 4pm Monday to Saturday and 9am -2pm Sunday. The Steading Bar with small food menu is only 1.4 mile away, opening days may change during winter months so please check on their FB page. Goodbrand & Ross tea room is a 10min drive away and is doing a take away service just now again please check their FB as this could change. Kildrummy Inn is a 15min drive and is award winning with a set menu and a must visit, you need to phone to book in advance no walk in. Again please see their FB page.
