Located in the heart of the historic Rothiemurchus Estate, this cozy forest hideaway was beautifully restored in 2018.
Its interiors reflect the natural woods and greens of the surrounding ancient pine forest, complete with a wood-burning stove. The cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children and welcome dogs.
The location, in the forest on the shores of Loch an Eilein, is a wonderful spot: you are in the beauty of the Cairngorms National Park with the vibrant hub of Aviemore just a short drive away. The kitchen is bright, the living room is cozy and the ground floor master bedroom is a fairy-tale romantic space with a super-king bed dressed in a charming red-and-white "cabin-luxe" decor.
The children's bedroom on the first floor is a quiet escape.
The bathroom has a rejuvenating rain shower, a whirlpool bath, and a hidden flat-screen TV at the end of the tub for the ultimate soak.
