When is this event?
The Grantown Initiative Quiz Night is back! After a long couple of years, we are holding our next quiz night at the Royal British Legion on Saturday, 26th March. Join us, test your knowledge and compete for one of our winner or runner up prizes.
The bar will be open and there are some fabulous prizes to be won at our raffle donated by local businesses. You won’t want to miss the raffle!
Tickets: £5 per person to be purchased on the door from 7.30pm.
Quiz starts at 8pm.
Teams of up to 6 people.
The evening is a fundraising event for the Grantown Initiative and all funds raised will go towards community projects.
Interested in reading and discussing popular books? Pop along to the Grantown Library Book Group. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 10:15am.

The Boat of Garten Community Hall’s annual Auction is back and ready for your bids.
Come and bring your boot full of your preloved items, as something that one person considers worthless may be considered valuable by someone else! So join us to sell, browse, and pick up a treasure or two.
The Community Cafe will also be open for delicious cake and a cuppa.

Repair cafe Cairngorms runs monthly at the Boat of Garten community hall and works with volunteers to help fix household items.
Bring your items and we’ll try our best to fix it.
And there’s a cafe too – so you can have a cuppa while you wait.
A cook off drawing competitors from across the globe to compete for the coveted Golden Spurtle. The 29th World Porridge Making Championships returns in person for 2022. A brilliant day out where celebrity judges put our porridge competitors through their paces as they compete in two rounds, specialty and traditional. Free tastings and a mini whisky festival compliment the day which kicks off with a pipe band march through the village. Not to be missed fun for all the family. Primary sponsor Hamlyns of Scotland.
Come and kick your heels up at the Storylands Sessions Ceilidh Concert in the Newtonmore Village Hall!
Celebrating our Highland community’s rich culture and connections, this multi-generational event brings together the best of traditional music, dance, and storytelling with an upbeat, contemporary twist.
With music from Hamish Napier, Charlie McKerron and Monadh Ruadh, classic dances from the Gay Gordons to the Virginia Reel and tales from local storytellers, this is set to be an unforgettable night.
Soup and roll provided; bring your drinks. Vegan & gluten-free rolls will be available, and the delicious soup, freshly made by the team at Newtonmore Grill, will tick every box: vegan, gluten-free, healthy, happy and hot!
The event starts at 7.30, doors open from 7 pm.
Finish time somewhere between 10.30 and 11.
