The Cromdale Village Summer Dance will be a great night of music and ceilidh dancing, with music from Hamish Napier (wooden flutes, whistles, piano and vocals) and Eric Pirie (fiddle).

The community really loved the special concert/ceilidh event in the hall back in August 2022 with Patsy Reid, Eric Pirie, and Hamish Napier (The Woods), so please join us again. Rumour has it that raffle will be EVEN BIGGER…so not to be missed!!

This year, award winning Clive John pays homage to Cash’s career as the Man In Black, alongside his iconic wife June Carter (Meghan Thomas) and The Roadshow Horns. With all the hits like Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm, Orange Blossom Special and Boy Named Sue alongside some of the darker more atmospheric songs such as The Man Comes Around and Hurt, this year’s show is an emotional roller-coaster!

BVW 2025! This year promises to be filled with excitement and innovation, thanks to the abundance of fantastic new ideas stemming from our open day, numerous meetings, and valuable suggestions from all of you, our cherished community members. Among the highlights are the introduction of novel events such as Mum and Dad-iators, Family Photographic Sessions, Musical Jamming and Weel Kirkit, adding fresh layers of enjoyment to the festivities. 

Of course, we haven’t forgotten the perennial favourites that make BVW so special. From the classic Vehicle Parade & Lil’ Duck Racing to the exhilarating Rufts Dog Show, from the charming Hobby Horses to the captivating Films, there’s something for everyone. Whether you fancy testing your knowledge with the Quiz, delighting in the Kids events, grooving at the Roller Disco, indulging in sporting treats, or embarking on the adventure of the 4X4 Safari, this year’s lineup promises unforgettable experiences.  

Open to everyone to enter something from your garden – cut flowers, plants, vegetables, fruit, crafts, home made produce, painted stones and photos from/of your garden ( to be emailed).
Free to enter as many different categories as you wish. Open to kids of all ages.
Drop off on Friday evening or Saturday before 09.30 am
Or just come and see what others have produced and choose a winner in each category.

This eco-event is now in its 3rd year and will again showcase ways of achieving a sustainable environment with the green credentials of local businesses on display.

The show is organised by volunteer members of Sustainable Strathspey, an eco-group in Badenoch and Strathspey which aims to initiate local change to help tackle the nature and climate emergencies.

We are expecting return visits by most of last year’s stallholders including representatives from the building industry, the Cairngorms National Park Authority, Home Energy Scotland, Grantown Society, wind farm developers, wildlife champions, and experts in waste management, the circular economy and creative child’s play. This year we are extending our invitation to all with an interest in active travel.

M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll that’s programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by Gemma, a brilliant roboticist, M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as it plays the role of friend and teacher, playmate and protector.

This film is rated a 15. Contains strong violence, threat and horror with strong language. Suitable only for 15 years and over. No one younger than 15 should be attending this screening.

Limited tickets will be available on the door at 6.30pm, book online to avoid disappointment. Licenced bar and snacks available.

When an orphan encounters a witch, his grandmother takes him away in order to protect him. But, in their hotel, a group of witches plot to get rid of the children of the world.

This film is rated PG, there is some menace, scenes of threat are mild and brief, and there is no injury detail. There is infrequent mild bad language. A PG film should not unsettle a child aged around 8 or older.

Annie Ives from Skills for Bees will be facilitating this workshop. She will explain the need for pollinator habitats, how you can create them in your own and a community spaces and get a chance to plant up a planter with wildflowers for your community to enjoy. Nancy Chambers, Manager of the Cairngorms Trust will be on hand to answer any questions about the new Cairngorms Trust Nature Resilience Fund which includes funding for community pollinator and wildflower projects.
