Morven from Cairngorm Bothies is a there and back route of 16-17km with about 800m of ascent which would equate to approx 8 hrs hrs including stops.

A low Carbon Footprint walk from the Cairngorm Bothies to The Jewel of Deeside; the “Big Mountain” standing alone surveying Mighty Lochnagar; the awe inspiring Cairngorms and beautiful Royal Deeside.

Meeting Point is at the Solar array at Cairngorm Bothies.

Loch Kinord & Muir of Dinnet Guided Walk
A beautiful circuit around Loch Kinord in the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve. The walk is excellent for nature lovers with plenty of flora and fauna both on and around the loch and in the surrounding birch woodland.

Loch Kinord – a short walk around Loch Kinord in the beautiful Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve – full of wildlife on the loch and in the surrounding Birch woodland. Included in the walk is the popular hidden gem; the Burn o’Vat – a fantastic example of a bowl-shaped “pot-hole”; a geological feature carved out by glacial meltwater at the end of the last Ice Age around 10,000 years ago. Please note Transport is needed.

Choose between a 50km run from Tamdhu Distillery to Buckie or a challenging 100km route starting in Aviemore and finishing in Buckie too. Immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of pine forests, serene riverbanks, and rolling hills while passing historic distilleries that craft the world’s finest whisky!

The Rotary Club of Spey Valley is proud to present its second Charity Classic, Sports and EV Car Tour on Sunday May 11th 2025 sponsored by Arnold Clark Mercedes-Benz.

Starting in Aviemore the route of approximately 150 miles takes participants to The Moray Coast, lunch at Cullen returning to Aviemore through Speyside. The tour will conclude with a meal, presentations and prize giving.

Entry is free with donations Macmillan Cancer Support – because cancer can affect the patient’s life in so many ways the charity does whatever it takes to give people the support they need.

CRY- Cardiac Risk in the Young– works to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) and offers support to families affected by YSCD. Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. CRY is a UK registered charity founded in 1995.

The Rotary Club of Spey Valley – supports local, national and international charities as well as local causes.

Whether you are just starting out in the sport, or an experienced triathlete chasing a PB, this event will give you the chance to push yourself whilst experiencing some of the best views the Cairngorms has to offer.

Join us at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre on Sunday 22nd June 2025!

Registration will be open from 9:30am at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, giving you plenty of time to set up your transition zone.

Fitnessat58° Founder, Sam Cairns will lead an event brief and warm up on Loch Insh beach at 11:45am, before the race begins at 12pm.

The race will start and finish is at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre. There will be vehicles available for you to leave your belongings during the race.

Car parking will be available at the Kincraig Shinty Pitch, next to the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, just two minute walk from the car park to registration.

The Speyside Triathlon Distances:
1. 500m swim
2. 18km cycle – 70% gravel/forest tracks and 30% road
3. 10km run – 90% gravel/forest tracks and 10% road

Suitable for all ages & abilities.
Booking is essential.
