Ashley Fripp returns for his 7th visit to Boat of Garten as a guest of TOMS. His programme will consist of music by Bach, Schumann, Beethoven, Brahms and finishing with Chopin’s Sonata No 3, op 58.
CARMEN CO will appear as guests of The Osprey Music Society. The ensemble comprises Emily Andrews (flautist / mezzo), David Massey and Francisco Correa (guitarists). It is a performance of Spanish and Spanish inspired Music, presented with a storyline which roughly follows the story of Bizet’s opera Carmen, but told from her point of view – an evening of fantasy, comedy, drama and tremendous music, all arranged by the musicians.
The cello and piano duo of Ashok Klouda and Irina Botam will perform as guests of TOMS. Their programme will include music by Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven and a cello solo composed for Ashok by his wife Natalie – the renowned violinist and composer. Ashok will be making his 6th visit to Boat of Garten since he first came in 2011, this time with Irina on her 3rd visit with him.
Music by Purcell, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams and others, sung by ten-year-old Jerome Collins who sings with the boys’ choir Libera. His accompanist will be Professor Martin Ashley, teacher, researcher and author on boys’ singing voices, who will also tell us more about the music Jerome will be singing. A lovely event not to be missed. Admission free (donations welcome). Drinks in the church hall from 7 onwards, concert starts at 7.30.

Music has been a lifelong passion for the band, with each member having earned All-Ireland Fleadh Champion medals in their own right. Their dedication and drive have taken them from small-town stages to sold-out venues across Ireland — and far beyond.
They’ve packed out iconic venues including the TF Castlebar and INEC Killarney, and toured internationally in Dubai, Germany, Spain, and the UK. Now, they’re bringing that same unstoppable energy, original sound, and incredible atmosphere to Aviemore for one night only.

‘Lock Inn’ with Jemima & The Fuse; an experimental, alternative folk duo made of singer Jemima Thewes and Hidden Orchestra drummer Tim Lane. A hearty ride of cloud-hopping tales, deep resonance and intricate rhythms, sliding into after show dance vibes.
If you were lucky to catch these two when they performed with the Langan Band a couple of years ago you may recall the high vibe in the Tipi that night.

The Senior Fèis Spè Band “Monadh Ruadh” will be playing for you today. Monadh Ruadh is the original Gaelic name for Cairngorm, and means “The Red Mountain”. The band are playing at differnet local venues as well as an annual visit to Logie Steading, near Forres. We hope you enjoy the music! The band will be delighted to accept any donations to help towards the costs of running the band and Fèis Spè’s many activities throughout the year.
Fèis is a Gaelic word which means festival and has come to mean a community-run cultural and tuition festival for children and young people. Since 1991, that has been the role of Fèis Spe in the community of Badenoch and Strathspey, offering children and young people here access to tuition in Traditional Music and Gaelic with opportunities to play and perform.

Join us for a summer evening spent dancing in the Lochain Bar, with traditional tunes from a live band providing fun and entertainment for everyone!
Never been to a ceilidh before? Don’t worry, the band will be calling the dances and everyone will muddle through together! You’re welcome to take part in as many or as few dances as you please, or just enjoy the atmosphere and a wee dram. The band will take a half hour break from 20.00-20.30, then resume the tunes before winding down by 10pm.
Dinner available for booking on the night.
