Extend your enjoyment of Grantown Show day with a Family Ceilidh in the Ben Mhor Hotel function room. Reel Scotch are there to entertain you and to explain (or remind you of!) the steps of traditional Scottish reels and dances. Prize raffle. Hosted by The Grantown Society – all welcome.
Pre-ceilidh meals available, refreshments from the bar.

Come along to The Old Bridge Inn on August 7th 3pm – 8pm and give screen printing a try with Colleen from Timber + Stitch

You can hand screen print your own T-shirt -£20 or tote bag-£15
Create your own design (perfect to keep the kids entertained) or use a pre-made design
Just ‘pop up’ to the table in the outdoor seating area and give screen printing a go.

Everyone that screen prints will be entered into a raffle to win a £50 Old Bridge Inn voucher – Yay!
Suitable for kids age 5+ and adults too

A two hour walk in the Grantown area with expert forager and tracker Dan Puplett and learn about the edible plants and fungi that grow wild on our doorstep.

Excellent for complete beginners to foraging.

A show of locally grown fruit, vegetables and plants and flowers, as well as baking and preserves. Teas and homebaking also available for an additional charge. Exhibits for sale afterwards.

Kicking off the summer holidays with a BBQ under our canopy. Why not ride or Zip during the day and then stay for a BBQ.

BBQ will be available for 5pm. Café, Bike Hire and Zip Wire are open as usual on the day.

Regiments of Strathspey: from the Picts to D-Day. Talk based on his research by noted historian Steve Goodall in the main hall of the Strathspey Legion club, part of D-Day landings commemorations. Exhibition including D-day memories and handmade models & scenarios. Take in the exhibition from 7pm before talk at 7.30pm. Admission free but donations are welcome.

Come along for an evening of delightful food and vocal and instrumental jazz. Led by Neil Birse, ACMS pupils will take you on an exquisite musical journey featuring jazz standards, jazz/pop fusion, and improvisation.

Tickets: £15 (includes food)

Enjoy a lively evening of music with Paul Anderson, of Tarland, renowned traditional Scots and Strathspey genre fiddler and teacher.

An invitation to receive superb tuition and to play with an array of musicians at the workshop and in the bar afterwards. N.B. Practice & Tuition Session 7.15 to 8.15pm.

Bar group performance 8.30pm to 10.00pm.

Transport and Accomodation

Trains and Buses run very regularly from both the major train stations in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the Central belt up to Aviemore. We will be updating our site with more information very soon on travel advice and options.
