When is this event?
Grantown’s YMCA Community Centre Haunted House is back and it’s better than ever!
Bring your family, bring your friends and have ‘spooktacular’ fun this Halloween.
Take a tour around this Victorian building at night as it turns into a Haunted House with ghouls and ghosts around every turn.
Families with younger children are invited from 5pm to 6pm. There will be hot drinks for sale and sweetie bags for all. Donations welcome.
All are welcome to join us as we give thanks for the animals in our lives. This is a short service with a couple of well known hymns. We invite you to bring your pet or companion animal with you. There will be the opportunity to have a blessing prayed over your pet.
After the roaring success of last year, we are so excited to be bringing back the ‘Gather Inn’, our Friday night pub night in the tipi. A space for you to unwind on a Friday evening and kick off your weekend in the right way, we’ll even have cold frothy draft beer on rotation by the brilliant organic Black Isle Brewery!
The tipi has always been the perfect space for gathering and enjoying a drink around the fire, but to top it off we will be joined (most Fridays) by ‘Highland Slice’ serving up tasty pizzas from his gorgeous horsebox. We don’t take bookings for the Gather Inn, just turn up, we have plenty of seats inside and out, kids welcome until 8pm. However, if you want to order pizzas, you need to pre-order with Andrew from the Tuesday prior through his website but he does sell out quick (see web link).
Our ‘Gather Inn’ nights will run from the beginning of April to the end of October, minus the odd Friday where we have other events running . A friendly reminder that if you’re coming with kids, please keep them supervised at all times, particularly on the play area.
The Gather Inn will NOT be running on the following dates:
29th August
4th and 18th September
24th October

The Senior Fèis Spè Band “Monadh Ruadh” will be playing for you today. Monadh Ruadh is the original Gaelic name for Cairngorm, and means “The Red Mountain”. The band are playing at differnet local venues as well as an annual visit to Logie Steading, near Forres. We hope you enjoy the music! The band will be delighted to accept any donations to help towards the costs of running the band and Fèis Spè’s many activities throughout the year.
Fèis is a Gaelic word which means festival and has come to mean a community-run cultural and tuition festival for children and young people. Since 1991, that has been the role of Fèis Spe in the community of Badenoch and Strathspey, offering children and young people here access to tuition in Traditional Music and Gaelic with opportunities to play and perform.
This is Monadh Ruadh’s annual Summer Tour in Badenoch and Strathspey, come for a listen.
