Glenmore 24 Trail Race is 24hr trail race where runners complete as many 4mile loops in a 24hr period.
There is also a 12hr race with the same format, with top runner recording 130mile + in the 24hr race and 70miles + in the 12hr race.

An afternoon full of family fun in the fresh air. Help us celebrate the launch of our refurbished Village Green including new covered bandstand and stone benching.

Just come along with family and friends to experience this great space and support us and other local organisations.

We all know that single use plastic isn’t eco-friendly – this workshop is all about making something new with used plastic! We’ll be turning a skittles packet into a zip pouch, learning some sewing machine skills & saving the planet!

What you need to bring
Sewing Machine plus threads
Zipper Foot (if you have one)
Scissors
Snacks & Water Bottle


We will provide materials & instruction – this course is all about learning to use the features of your sewing machine. If you do not have a machine we do have some you can borrow, but not enough for everyone.

Create some awesome wall art using yarn! Learn how to use a knitting dolly – a great beginners knitting tool & then use your creation to create a shape, name or letter!

We will provide materials & instruction – this is a just for fun course to introduce the basics of working with yarn. Some will pick up the skills quickly, some may need more practice – but we aim for everyone to go away with something made just by them!

This workshop is a great starter project for new sewers. Learn how to use your machine to create your own drawstring backpack & decorate it!

What’s a Fat Quarter?
A fat quarter is a small cut of material (roughly ¼ yard). They are often sold in packs or on their own – you can find them in Hobbycraft, Aldi (on occasion) & websites such as woolwarehouse.co.uk


We will provide extra materials & instruction – this course is all about learning to use the features of your sewing machine. If you do not have a machine we do have some you can borrow, but not enough for everyone.

Come and join us to learn how to make cool shelters from natural materials. This is great fun and a useful survival skill!

Journey sticks are a type of ‘map’ which helps tell the story of where you have been and what you saw along the way. Join the ranger for this fun, gentle-paced activity and make your own journey stick.

Join the Ranger to learn more about how camouflage is used in the natural world. Animals are masters of camouflage. Learn how they do it and practice skills for staying hidden.

There is so much to see and do in Braemar these days, history and heritage sites next to great places to eat and drink and interesting unique shops. We hope you will come and spend the day in one of the prettiest villages in the Cairngorms National Park
