We will be using Waves & Wild’s Cool Time Lunch Bag pattern. This is a large lunch bag which we will make with inside bottle pocket

We will learn how to cut material using pattern pieces
We will sew in a zip, construct our bag and use binding to finish our seams.

-0.5m Fabric (Slightly heavier fabric than cotton works best e.g. Denim, Cotton Twill, Canvas. We will provide suggestions)

Have fun & be creative!!

Mini Crafters is all about creative fun! Each week has a theme & is full of easy crafts and games.

Fantasy week is all about imaginative crafts – with a different magical creature each day:
Monday – Fairies
Tuesday – Unicorns
Wednesday – Dragons
Thursday – Mermaids
Friday – Monsters

All activities come with a range of options and are suitable for boys & girls – we encourage everyone to use their creativity and make it their own!!

All materials are provided. Where ever possible we will do our crafts outside!

Come and spend a night in and around our tipi, enjoying pizzas and drinks and good tunes with friends. We have a choice of four different delicious pizzas (vegetarian options available), a range of local drinks, spirits and snacks and some Smores to toast on the fire. We are hosting these evenings on the following dates:

The first World Human Foosball Championships will be held in the Cairngorms National Park to raise funds for the Cairngorms Trust to support projects across the area.

Get a team of friends, family and colleagues together for a day of fun, 5 a side foosball! No previous experience is necessary just bring your enthusiasm.

Date: Saturday 20th May 2023
Time: First match 9am, finals from 1pm
Entry is open to teams of 5 over 16 years old.
Early bird entry price is £50 per team to enter until the 28th April. Thereafter £100 team with last entries on the 12th May so we can get the play lists ready. With 1 free car parking space per team.

This event is being held to raise funds to support projects that to support the landscapes, wildlife, local culture and economic health and encourage sustainable and community led local development within the Cairngorms National Park.

Please use our Just Giving page to ask friends, family and colleagues to support you and your team by donating to the Cairngorms Trust.

Spectators are welcome on the day with a suggested entry fee donation of £2 per person to the Cairngorms Trust.

There will be food stalls available on the day along with family friendly entertainment.

The Cairngorms Trust is working with the team from Craic Events on the organisation and management of the event on the day.

This event is part of the Cairngorms Nature Festival which runs from 12 – 21 May 2023. It’s a ten day festival with over 80 exciting events across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating the incredible landscapes and nature found here.

Come and explore this large, beautiful garden on the hillside above Dulnain Bridge. The garden contains mature woodland and provides stunning views of the River Spey and the Cairngorm mountains.

The garden is a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels and a range of woodland and garden birds. Five acres in size, the garden consists of some formal lawns with herbaceous borders, newly created rockeries and drystone walls and the beginnings of a Japanese garden. A stream enters the garden and cascades into a newly restored pond where common frogs breed.

You are free to wander and explore the garden, where there will be interpretation throughout promoting gardening for wildlife. This garden forms part of Scotland’S Garden Scheme and a page for the garden can be found here: https://scotlandsgardens.org/easter-laggan. Entry Fee – £5 (children free) There will be refreshments available to purchase and a plant sale. All proceeds will be donated to Parkinsons UK & Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

Kingussie High School Parent Council invite you to a family ceilidh featuring Black Rock ceilidh band at the Duke of Gordon Hotel on the night before the 30th Kingussie Bikeathon.

With support from Wildland, we’re raising money for this year’s Bikeathon charity, Blood Cancer UK and celebrating the big anniversary!

60 Piece Orchestra from the music School Leinfelden- Echterdingen, Germany playing the Cinema Serenade Movie Musical pearls, on the village Green in Aviemore

The 30th Annual Golden Spurtle® World Porridge Making Championship® will be held on Saturday 7th October 2023.

The event is a fun family event with competitors from around competing for the famous Golden Spurtle.

At 9.30 the Pipe band processes competitors from the Old Pack Horse Bridge to our wonderful Village Hall. After that, the spurtles start stirring! Competitors make porridge from oats, salt and water and also compete for the Speciality Award where anything goes to make some awesome creations.

The Golden Spurtle Crown and Speciality Award relies on the skills and experience of our Judging Panel. The 2023 Judging Team is a range of famous and prestigious chefs.

An event not to be missed.
