Ready, set, run!

New year, new goals. Why not kickstart the year as you mean to go on?

Back for its 5th year, join the team at Fitnessat58° for our increasingly popular Loch Morlich Running Festival. Set for Saturday 6th January 2024 from 10am, this event is located at the heart of the breath-taking Cairngorms National Park.
An event designed for everyone, participants will make their way through the canopy of Glenmore Forest towards the shores of Loch Morlich beach. Whether in competition or simply for fun, take part with family and friends on our 5K or 10K run.

And, if running isn’t your cup of tea, why not sign up to walk the beautiful forest track?

Starting at Hayfield, Glenmore, the day will begin with a warm up session led by Fitnessat58° instructor and Team GB athlete, Sam Cairns. Following the forest tracks, you will then be guided by marshals towards Loch Morlich beach where you will be greeted by delicious home bakes and your team of supporters… not to mention one of our handmade wooden medals to keep as a reminder of your success.

Join us for a walk through the Christmas story. Follow the glowing trail as it guides you through Alltnacriche’s grounds, with live action scenes to take you back in time to Jesus’ birth.

Stick around afterwards for hot drinks and mince pies
Entry is free, but donations are welcome.
Last entry at 6pm.

Launching the Fife Arms’ celebrations of Scottish Yuletide traditions, join us around our courtyard firepit to mark the Winter Solstice with mulled drinks and the ceremonial burning of the Yule log, as we herald in good luck and the return of longer, lighter days together.

We are delighted to be welcoming the band Tundra to The Balavoulin for a fundraising live music gig.

The band are doing a 14 day, 1000 mile cycling and gigging challenge to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association charity MNDa.

They will start their tour at Land’s End and finish at John ‘o Groats.

We are really excited to help them on their tour and hopefully help them to reach their £5000 target, in memory of one of the band members brother in law, Paul Bradley, who was sadly lost to Motor Neurone Disease earlier this year.

The band are planning to perform cover hits by Duran Duran, Erasure, Coldplay, Muse, Tears for Fears, Oasis, The Specials, Madness and many many more.

We hope to see you there to help support the band on their challenge!!!

From the Community switch on of our hotel Christmas lights, to stunningly dressed Yuletide interiors, carol singers, candlelit concerts and festive foods galore, the 24th of November truly marks the start of the Fife Arms’ Festive celebrations in the Cairngorms.

Fab indoor fun available in the Victoria Hall once a month through the winter.
45 minutes on Deeside Inflatables’ 30ft bouncy castle obstacle course!
Rest and refreshments available to purchase for parents and carers.
ALL children must be accompanied and adequately supervised by a responsible adult.

Unfortunately due to the weather forecast for tomorrow Friday 20th October, this event has been cancelled.

The Autumn Festival will take place outside the Farm Shop at Rothiemurchus near Aviemore, and all are welcome to come along!

Lots of wonderful stallholders are confirmed so far including Pixel Spirits, Angus Grant Art, Coast Candle Co, Elchies and Rising Roots Microgreens.

So for now make sure you put the date in your diary, Friday 20th October, for what promises to be a wonderful celebration of local food, drink and crafts.
