Huw Oliver and Annie Le share stories and pictures of winter bike travels in Scotland and further afield. Biking from the sub-arctic plateau of the Cairngorms to the tundra of Lapland and the interior of Iceland. They look at the realities of camping at minus 30c and the gear needed, but most of all the motivation and memories that make travelling in the cold so compelling.

You will be able to post questions during the Talk so we can have a Q & A at the end. The Talk will remain available to view on our channel – so if you can’t make the live event you can view it later.

Hugh and Annie are outdoor educators, based in Strathspey, when not living out of their vans. They caught the bug for human powered transport in their separate ways and since then have made a habit of making bike and packraft trips to the places that inspire them. Both are happiest in a tent somewhere peaceful, sharing the last tea bag and making plans for the next place on the map that caught their eye!

One not to miss!

Once again this online Boat Talk will be free to watch, but we welcome donations to the Hall which we use to support the Talks and our speakers 😊 Click here to donate: https://bit.ly/3nBxrI8
