Talks with Bob at the Butterfly House

Enter this enchanting bio-dome and encounter hundreds of Planet Earth?s most stunningly beautiful butterflies and exotic flowers. We have a whole cast of friendly characters waiting to welcome you. You can walk among them and relax to the sound of the soothing water cascading into our pond. Handling sessions with our Indian and Vietnamese stick insects are on offer and visitors will also get the opportunity to hold an African snail. Talks will also be happening about the resident Gecko lizard, Ivy. At 12 pm there will be an opportunity to see the animals being fed including tortoises, Asian Quail and tropical fish. This event is part of the Cairngorms Nature Festival which runs from 12 – 21 May 2023. It’s a ten day festival with over 80 exciting events across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating the incredible landscapes and nature found here.
