Skulls, Bones and Feathers

Skulls, bones and feathers can tell us a huge amount about the animals they come from as well as being fascinating in their own right! Join naturalist and wildlife tracker Dan Puplett to learn how to identify a range of different skulls, other bones and feathers and how they can help us understand more about our fantastic one. Part of the session will be in the bird hide, and we will also go for a short walk to see what clues we can find nearby. In this workshop we will look at how to identify a range of bones and feathers and also what these can tell us about the hidden lives of mammals and birds.This event is part of the Cairngorms Nature Festival which runs from 12 – 21 May 2023. It’s a ten day festival with over 80 exciting events across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating the incredible landscapes and nature found here.
