River Spey Pilgrimage

Join in or watch the pilgrimage of the statue of the Madonna as she is paddled by canoe down from Aviemore to Kincardine Church on the 24th August and thence, on the 25th, to Grantown on Spey for an overnight before being delivered to Pluscarden Abbey on the 26th Aug

Her pilgrimage will start at the Old Bridge Inn at 12 Midday on the 24th. She should be at the Shepherd’s Pool on the Spey (immediately below the entrance to Kincardine Church) at 15.00hrs. Thereafter she will be carried up to Kincardine Church for a service with music, singing and refreshments at 18.00hrs.

On the 25th she will leave Kincardine Church ( Shepherd’s Pool)at 12 Midday to be paddled down to Grantown on Spey arriving at the Sandy Beach approx 1445 hrs.
