The Scottish Highlands is home to some iconic wildlife species but finding them can be a real challenge. Whether you are part of a family group wanting to see a broad range of Highland wildlife, or a keen birder looking for a specific and elusive species, our wildlife guides will guide you to the best locations using their expert knowledge. So, whether it’s Dotterel and Ptarmigan on the high tops, Capercaillie and Crested Tits in the forests, or maybe Otter and Dolphin on the shoreline, tell us what you’d like to see and we can help you to achieve your wildlife watching ambitions.
Our hide is located in the Cairngorms within the Caledonian Pine Forest near Aviemore. Badger are regular visitors all year round and Pine Marten can also be seen. A variety of other Scottish wildlife may visit our hide whilst it is still light, including Tawny Owls, Red Squirrels and Roe Deer. Each evening wildlife watching experience lasts approximately three hours.

Ecdysis is a pilgrimage through the landscape in music and costume.
This performance installation takes inspiration from reptile species that live in the wild in Scotland. Reptiles must get rid of their old skin each year in order to grow. We invite you to explore this idea with us through dance and words, the idea of stepping out of your own skin, of shedding to grow, of sluffing off. The music for Ecdysis is an exciting collaboration with renowned Producers from the alternative music scenes in London and Bristol including Sgt Pokes, Pinch, N-Type, Silkie, Mako and Lost.
