Join us for the start of our summer exhibition. Angus Grant and Campbell Bryson are teaming up for Sunshine & Shadows, a reprise of their first show 14 years ago.
Both men are landscape painters with distinctive styles. Bryson’s work is renowned for its treatment of light and shadow, creating almost mosaic-like patterns. Grant’s work features the familiar landscapes of the Cairngorms, especially the lochs and mountains.

Come share the love of film and support community cinema in Aviemore!

Twenty-five years after environmental collapse left the Earth uninhabitable, one family clings to a sense of normalcy while confined to a palatial bunker. Wealthy ex-ballerina Mother, former oil executive Father, their precocious Son (and a chosen few companions) keep a happy routine.

But when a Girl turns up at their underground doorstep, with her own past and a plain-spoken perspective, the group’s blind optimism begins to unravel. As long-repressed emotions resurface, and a connection blossoms between the outsider and the Son, a changed existence becomes the only way forward.

Starring Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton, George MacKay (1917), Moses Ingram and Academy Award® nominee Michael Shannon, The End is an inspired showcase for today’s best actors. Rich with daring, romance, and song, this clear-eyed vision blends satire and sincerity to shed light on the conflict between the truth and the stories we tell.

Doors at 6.30pm, film start 6.40pm.
Run length 2hr30min.

Community-owned but operated in partnership with Spey Valley Cinema and supported by the BFI and Film Hub Scotland, Cairngorm Community Cinema aims to create a space where the community can gather, discover new perspectives, and enjoy film.

Tickets only available on the door, so just show up!

Please come once again support our community cinema to keep it running for the rest of the year.

Discover Blairfindy Castle: A Guided Walk Through Glenlivet’s Rich Past

“Glenlivet it has castles three – Drumin, Blairfindy and Deskie.”
Join us for an easy, guided walk through the heart of Glenlivet, beginning at the iconic Glenlivet Distillery. As we make our way toward the impressive 16th-century Blairfindy Castle, you’ll be treated to sweeping views across one of Scotland’s most renowned glens. Along the way, we’ll delve into the rich history of Glenlivet, with a dash of whisky heritage thrown in too.

Blairfindy Castle, completed in 1564 by John Gordon, stands as a nice example of an L-plan tower house that remains remarkably well preserved. In 2019, a major conservation project—supported by the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Landscape Partnership and the National Lottery Heritage Fund—stabilised the structure and opened it to visitors for the first time in decades. The site has also been enhanced to support wildlife, with features that encourage nesting birds and pollinators.

Step into the story of Blairfindy and see a different side of Glenlivet—one where history, nature, and whisky meet.

Join Glenlivet & Inveravon Heritage Ranger Lydia for a talk on Pictish art and symbol stones. We will be looking at four Pictish Stones discovered in the churchyard of Inveraven, which has been a site of spiritual practice and pilgrimage for centuries. This tour will provide an overview to Pictish art and culture and will show how the Picts contributed to the shaping of modern Scotland.

Access to Inveraven Church is off the A95 about half a mile north the entrance to Ballindalloch Castle, and can be found by following the brown tourist sign directing visitors down the single track road to the Inveraven Pictish Stones.

Parking is available at the bottom of the drive before you arrive at the church or in front of the church building.

As we will be outside, please dress appropriately for changeable weather.

Join us at Highland Wildlife Park for a Creep Calm Workshop where our expert team will help you fight your phobia!

Spiders are amazing creatures with incredible adaptations. They are an essential part of the ecosystem and those found in the UK are completely harmless and would rather avoid humans.

We understand how a fear of spiders can really begin to impact on people’s everyday lives. Based on our previous ‘Spiders: Fight Your Phobia’, we have refreshed and re-worked this interactive session to help you get you closer to overcoming your spider fear. Our workshops are split into three sections: theory, mindfulness and practical catch and release to help you develop your comfortability around spiders in a friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Alongside our expert keepers, we are joined by experienced and compassionate psychotherapist Izabella Kathiravel specialising in anxiety, depression and trauma. Izabella will be delivering the theory element of the workshop, providing insight and practical techniques on managing fear. Izabella brings over a decade of experience working in the UK and beyond, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being.

“Overcoming our fears and anxiety can be a hurdle, but it is not out of our reach!”

The workshops are suitable for participants aged 16 and over and includes entry into Highland Wildlife Park for the day.
