Have fun using our map to explore the paths in Church Wood, Grantown on Spey. How many orienteering flags you can find in 30mins? All ages welcome. There is also a String Course suitable for toddlers to children around 10yrs. Follow the string to find all the pictures of painted cats; images with kind permission from the Wildcat Experience in Newtonmore. There will be wee prizes at the end! Adaptive biking for disabled families of all ages and abilities. This session is open to disabled people and their family and friends. We have a range of adaptive bikes including solo trikes, side by side trikes, recumbent foot pedal bikes, handcycles, tag-a-longs and a bike trailer (for older children and small adults). We will fit everyone with the most suitable bike and go for practice laps in the outdoor sports arena on site with the option to go for a longer ride on the forest trails. Come for a ranger led walk on the Cabrach Trust Discovery Trails. Learn about the nature of the Cabrach, from minibeasts to Golden Eagles as we take in the wildlife ponds, wildflower meadow and the river Deveron. We will be climbing at a fantastic beginners rock face at Kingussie. This is a great activity for disabled adults who would like to try something adventurous. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the rock face or we can use an off road wheelchair to get within 50 metres of the climbing. There will be a chance to both climb and support each other climbing. Come and discover the wildlife at Milton Loch!

Join us at Milton Loch Community Woodland, Boat of Garten, to discover and learn about the local wildlife.

Take part in a pond dip to discover the creatures which live in Milton Loch, go on a minibeast hunt and have a go at bird watching.

Attempt our wildlife scavenger hunt and see what else you can discover!

All equipment will be provided, just bring a packed lunch!

Suitable for families. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

Pop down to the Craggan Golf Course to explore our exciting nature trail! Have an adventure discovering the incredible birds, trees, shrubs and insects that live along this short loop on the banks of the River Spey. Bask in the beauty of spring and encounter a variety of creatures from mallards to butterflies in these gorgeously green surroundings. Discover the Cairngorm mountains, from Ptarmigan and Ring Ouzels, right down through the glens and their Black Grouse, Crossbills and Redstarts. Enjoy all of these and more on our back-to-back May workshops.

Over the course of the morning we will listen for as many species as possible getting to know the commoner species and understanding a little more about how to identify different bird calls and songs. We will be able to hear and discuss the differences between birds that sing in woodlands and those in more open habitats and with luck our encounters could include Tree Pipit, Redstart, Yellowhammer, Osprey, Goldeneye, Goshawk and Crossbill.
