The Junior Highland Games has been organised to allow children between the ages of 5 and 18 the opportunity to participate in games events normally reserved for adults and hopefully create interest for the future generations. The emphasis is on fun and is intended to provide educational experiences in an informal and participative way. The event will be held in the Braemar Games Field and has backing of The Braemar Highland Society.

Children will be able to participate as well as receive education and instruction in a number of traditional games events overseen by qualified instructors.

New competitors are welcome and instruction is provided. Events include highland dancing competition, piping competition and tug of war teams events.

Visit one of Scotland’s longest running Highland Games, showcasing traditional heavy and light events, highland dancing, piping competitions and lesser known entertainments like tilt the bucket and barrel racing.

Now an iconic weekend in Speyside – the last weekend in August each summer is a celebration on the wonderdful Harley Davidson.

The first Dunedin Chapter Rally was held in 1997. During the weekend, the rally attracts over 10,000 visitors to the Aviemore and Speyside area.

Year on year the Rally has grown from strength to strength and attracts headline acts and local entertainers. This has been described as the best Chapter run HOG Rally in Europe.

Music, the rumble of the Harley and a good old get together – come and get stuck in!

The Cromdale Village Summer Dance will be a great night of music and ceilidh dancing, with music from Hamish Napier (wooden flutes, whistles, piano and vocals) and Eric Pirie (fiddle).

The community really loved the special concert/ceilidh event in the hall back in August 2022 with Patsy Reid, Eric Pirie, and Hamish Napier (The Woods), so please join us again. Rumour has it that raffle will be EVEN BIGGER…so not to be missed!!
