Glenbuchat Walk: Hall to the Garnet Stone

Discover this local hidden gem on a Sunday stroll and learn about the area?s fascinating geology and wonderful wildlife. Join a local ranger and community members for an afternoon stroll to Glenbuchat?s garnet stone. The walk will begin at Glenbuchat Hall and will mainly follow estate paths this hidden treasure, with precious local knowledge about geology, history and nature shared along the way. The walk will be followed by refreshments and the opportunity to chat at the cosy Glenbuchat bothy.This event is part of the Cairngorms Nature Festival which runs from 12 – 21 May 2023. It’s a ten day festival with over 80 exciting events across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating the incredible landscapes and nature found here.
