Come and explore this large, beautiful garden on the hillside above Dulnain Bridge. The garden contains mature woodland and provides stunning views of the River Spey and the Cairngorm mountains.

The garden is a haven for wildlife, including red squirrels and a range of woodland and garden birds. Five acres in size, the garden consists of some formal lawns with herbaceous borders, newly created rockeries and drystone walls and the beginnings of a Japanese garden. A stream enters the garden and cascades into a newly restored pond where common frogs breed.

You are free to wander and explore the garden, where there will be interpretation throughout promoting gardening for wildlife. This garden forms part of Scotland’S Garden Scheme and a page for the garden can be found here: https://scotlandsgardens.org/easter-laggan. Entry Fee – £5 (children free) There will be refreshments available to purchase and a plant sale. All proceeds will be donated to Parkinsons UK & Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

This event is part of the Cairngorms Nature Festival which runs from 12 – 21 May 2023. It’s a ten day festival with over 80 exciting events across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating the incredible landscapes and nature found here.
