The Lecht, Glenshee and Cairngorm Mountain
We are a lucky bunch in the Cairngorms with three ski centres on our doorstep. The Lecht, Glenshee and Cairngorm Mountain are magnificent and awe inspiring cloaked in snow. Those who love to get on their skis or snowboard, are in their element when the snow comes in, especially on those bluebird days of clear skies, fresh snow and adventures waiting to unfold. All ages and stages are welcome to experience a day on the slopes. Come and play on the wonderful slopes of the Cairngorms.
Aviemore Community Ice Rink
The sliding adventure carries on in the centre of Aviemore with the Aviemore Community Ice Rink – you can get your skates on or have a crack at curling. This community venture has fun and good times at its core – come and get stuck (or slide!) in.
The Zip Park
The Zip Park will let you see the Cairngorms from a whole new perspective. Suspended in the trees of the Alvie Gorge you will have the chance to embrace the treetops as you speed through the forest zip trails – with guided or unguided options. This is playful at full throttle!
Rothiemurchus – Winter Quad Biking
Rothiemurchus is an iconic Cairngorms destination who love and care for their little corner of the National Park and are 100% dedicated to bringing a bit of playful magic to its visitors. Jumping on a quad bike to adventure through the trails of the forest is the perfect combination of exhilaration and adventure whilst surrounded by the beauty of the forest canopy. The possibilities for winter fun at Loch Insh Outdoor Center are endless – there is archery, an ice rink with the most spectacular view but we are here to talk about the tubing…which is FABULOUS! Perfect for the competitive and great across the generations…let the kids race granny down the hill…we think she might surprise you!
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Networx is Scotland’s first aerial net challenge – it is a perfect combination that will have every generation bouncing, laughing and getting out of puff! This new adventure is a fabulous addition to Landmark Park – an iconic attraction in the Cairngorms which opened in 1970…these guys know how to bring some playful magic to your stay.
Snow + Sledge = Fun
We can’t talk about a playful winter in the Cairngorms without mentioning the magic of a sledging session followed by a good old snowball fight. Tuck in behind your sledge, get your snowballs made and choose your team…strategic ambush, revenge attacks and belly laughs are the name of the game…take no prisoners…playful just got serious!
