Imagine golden eagles soaring high above heathery moorland, herons fishing over the still, dark waters of a secluded loch, and red squirrels darting between ancient pines.

You could see all of this and more on a guided estate safari through Glen Tanar.

We offer accessible guided safaris for groups of up to four in our comfortable, air-conditioned Land Rovers.

Led by experienced guides who know the estate inside out, the all-weather tours venture into the heart of the spectacular Cairngorms National Park, along forest tracks into some of the most remote corners of the glen.

We will travel through a range of landscapes depending on the season and choice of route.

Look out for red deer, roe deer, red squirrels, adders, golden eagles, osprey, black grouse, merlins, hen harriers and crossbills.

Your guide will also tell you about the history, culture, geology, botany and management of the area.

Binoculars and refreshments are provided, but don’t forget your camera – besides the rare species of flora and fauna, you will be passing through some of Scotland’s most photogenic Highland scenery.

Tours last two-three hours, and we recommend the best trip for your party based on the season and recent wildlife activity.

Bespoke tours may be tailored to suit your requirements by prior agreement.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and booking is essential..
